Downloading

1. How do I download Cool Tools/Apps directly to my phone?

There are two ways to download Cool Tools/Apps directly using your phone – either through the MEdia Mall 2.0 application or by navigating to the MEdia Mall on the mobile web

Recommended method: Use the downloadable MEdia Mall 2.0 application:

1. Download MEdia Mall 2.0 online or text MM2 to 386* to download it directly on your phone. Learn more about MEdia Mall 2.0.
2. Once MEdia Mall 2.0 has completed downloading to your phone, open MEdia Mall 2.0 by selecting the MEdia Mall Account icon on your phone's menu and, depending on your phone model, opening the folder called Games & Apps or Applications.
3. Select Cool Tools/Apps from the menu on the MEdia Mall 2.0 Home page. You'll see featured titles and a list of categories such as New Arrivals, Most Popular, and others that you can browse to find the application you want.
4. Select a title, choose how you'd like to buy it from the available options, then follow the prompts to download and install the application onto your phone - the procedure varies by phone model. Be sure to select the save option so that your download stays on your phone. Once it's saved, start using your new Cool Tool!

To use the MEdia Mall mobile website:

1. Depending on your phone model, look for a menu item called MEdia Mall, Cingular Mall, or AT&T Mall. Select the appropriate item and choose Shop Applications or Shop Cool Tools. You'll see a list of categories such as Featured Picks, New Arrivals, Top Sellers, and a variety of categories that you can browse to find the tool you want.
2. Select a title, then follow the prompts to download and install it onto your phone – the procedure varies by phone model. Be sure to select the save option so that your download stays on your phone

2. How do I download Cool Tools to my phone from the MEdia Mall website?

1. First, Select Your Phone from the menu in the bottom left column. If you don't know the model, remove the battery and you'll see a label with the model number on the label.
2. Next, click on the Cool Tools tab. Some tools you buy are a one-time payment, others are subscription-based, with a monthly recurring charge that you can stop at any time by canceling your subscription.
3. When you click the BUY button, simply enter your AT&T wireless phone number and a text message with a link for the application will be sent to your phone. Click the link, then follow your phone's installation instructions (which vary by phone model) and start using your new Cool Tool application! Be sure to select the save option so that your download stays on your phone.

1. How do I download MEdia Mall 2.0 on my phone?

MEdia Mall 2.0 is a downloadable mobile application which means it lives on your phone. Featuring a best-in-class discovery and purchase experience, you can easily personalize your phone with ringtones, games, applications and more in just a few clicks using MEdia Mall 2.0. You can Download MEdia Mall 2.0 online or text MM2 to 386* to download it directly on your phone.

MEdia Mall 2.0 is a free application, however standard data rates apply for the kilobytes (or data) transferred to download the MEdia Mall 2.0 application to your phone as well as the data to use the application once you have downloaded it. We recommend subscribing to an Unlimited Messaging and Data Plan, which includes messaging, mobile web and data usage at a discounted monthly rate.

If MEdia Mall 2.0 is not supported on your device at this time, you can still shop for all your favorite MEdia Mall content online or on the MEdia Mall mobile website on your phone.

2. Why can't I access MEdia Mall or AT&T Mall from my phone?

You need to make sure that you subscribe to MEdia Net services. You may establish a pay-per-use account or, for greater value, purchase an Unlimited Messaging and Data Plan for a discounted monthly rate. Visit our MEdia Net page for more information or contact a service representative to confirm or add this service to your account.

3. I started a purchase from the MEdia Mall website and I've been waiting for a long time – how long should it take for the message to arrive?

It should only take a few minutes for the message to arrive to your phone. If you have waited longer than 5 minutes for the message, call AT&T Customer Care at 1-800-888-7600 or dial 611 from your wireless phone.

4. I started a purchase from the MEdia Mall website – what should I do when the message arrives on my wireless phone?

Click the link in the text message you received, select 'Buy' or 'Subscribe' from the MEdia Mall page, then follow your phone's on-screen instructions (which vary by phone model) to install and save the content on your phone. Be sure to select the save option so that your download stays on your phone..

You will not be charged until you click on 'Buy' or 'Subscribe' to complete the purchase.

5. How do I pay for or cancel Cool Tools/Apps I've purchased?

Cool Tools are charged using AT&T Direct Bill and the name of the Content Provider or Title for the application will appear on your monthly AT&T bill.

Some Cool Tools you buy involve a one-time payment which provides unlimited access to the application on your phone. However, if you delete the Cool Tool from your phone or change phones, the purchase price will not be refunded.

Most Cool Tools are subscription-based and will incur a set charge every month as long as the subscription remains active. When you cancel the subscription, you will lose access to the Cool Tool. You can cancel Cool Tool subscriptions at anytime by going to att.com/directbill on your personal computer.

Using the downloadable MEdia Mall 2.0 application:

1. Open the Options menu using the left soft–key.
2. Select MEdia Mall Account and follow prompts.

Using the MEdia Mall mobile website:

1. Select the MEdia Mall Account link at the bottom of any page
2. Click on My Billing
3. Select Purchase History
4. Select the title you wish to cancel and click Modify Subscription

If you do not see the title of your previously purchased Cool Tool, it may be listed by the date the purchase was made on and the name of the content provider. If this is the case, click on the link and you will be able to view title information.

6. Can I transfer my Cool Tools to a different phone when I upgrade to a new phone?

Monthly subscription Cool Tool applications may be downloaded again to your new phone and your monthly subscription rate for that tool will continue although you may be charged for the data usage during download. One–time fee Cool Tools must be repurchased and downloaded on your new phone. To redownload a subscription based Cool Tool to a new phone:

Prices vary by title. Some tools are charged as a one–time fee for unlimited use while others are charged as a monthly subscription. 8. Which phones can download Cool Tools? Can I download Cool Tools to a prepaid phone?

Use MEdia Mall to see which specific Cool Tools are available for your phone.

If you are shopping on the MEdia Mall website, first select your phone make and model using the images provided. Then select the Cool Tools category and you'll see a list of Cool Tools that are compatible with your phone, broken down by category.

On your phone, simply launch MEdia Mall 2.0 or the MEdia Mall mobile website and select Cool Tools. All the Cool Tools you see are available for your phone. You can download Cool Tools to a prepaid phone as long as the phone is compatible.

9. How many Cool Tools can I download to my phone?

The number of downloads you can store depends on your phone model and manufacturer. Check your phone manual or visit your phone manufacturer's website to find this information for your phone. You can always erase old downloads you no longer want and replace them with new ones, but once a download is erased, you will have to repurchase it if you want to use it again.

10. Why does my phone ask me if I want to install an untrusted application after I've purchased a Cool Tool? Am I going to ruin my phone?

AT&T carefully screens all content sold within MEdia Mall to ensure that it will work properly on your specific phone model and will not cause problems with the phone's normal functioning. If encountered, the warning can be ignored for content purchased from MEdia Mall. However, not all sites that sell content for mobile phones are as diligent in testing the safety and performance of mobile tools and other content so we would advise extreme caution in installing untrusted applications when obtained from a third–party provider.
